At the time of Christ, students lived with their teacher, following and watching him. What did he think? How did he talk? How did he eat? That’s the meaning of our word disciple, those who follow behind. We can’t literally walk behind Jesus, but we can follow the spiritual practices of Jesus. Study, rest, service, and giving are ways we can do what Jesus did.
